The Fifth Circuit withdrew its prior panel opinion and substituted this opinion.The court held, consistent with its decision in United States v. Reyes-Contreras, 910 F.3d 169 (5th Cir. 2018) (en banc), that defendant's prior conviction for "Assault -- Family Violence" under Texas Penal Code 22.01(a)(1) and (b)(2) fell within the definition of a crime of violence under 18 U.S.C. 16(a).
